Exactly one year ago, my life and the the lives of my friends and neighbors were completely changed in an instant. May 22, 2011 at 5:41 pm, an EF5 tornado touched down in my town and killed 161 people and left a path of destruction 7 miles long, and a mile wide. Completely devastating. But looking back, I am proud of the citizens of Joplin, how we came together and helped slowly figure this thing out. Oh how I wish we were in Joplin today rather than Nashville. But my thoughts, love and prayers go out to all my friends and neighbors in Joplin. Godspeed. (Taken with instagram)
